If an alien landed on the planet and asked someone what planet he was on, how many possible answers are there? i guess the question is how many ways in how many languages is there a way to say "Earth", "Terra" or "the great land between the waters".

I think the question lies not in the variety of answers that we could possibly know given the extended amount of various dialects on this planet, but, in the fact that the USA have been broadcasting into outerspace for years saying that this planet is called Earth. My question (sorry to answer a question with another) would be whether or not the Alien would laugh if you told him it was Earth and tell you that it infact had a completely different name through-out the rest of the Universe.
