    I'm not completely sure what to say, probably yes. I'm not a doctor, but the sources I get from the web are all coming back and saying yes.

    Exforge is the brand name of an oral antihypertensive medication which combines two antihypertensive agents in a film-coated tablet. It contains amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, and valsartan, an angiotensin-2 receptor antagonist (ARB or A2A). The patent is held by Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Novartis markets the drug, valsartan, as Diovan. The patent expires in 2012. Pfizer's patent on amlodipine expired in 2007. Until then it was marketed as Norvasc.     Amlodipine is in a group of drugs called calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing the muscles of your heart and blood vessels.

    Valsartan is in a group of drugs called angiotensin II receptor antagonists. Valsartan keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow.

    The combination of amlodipine and valsartan is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). This medication is usually given after others have been tried without successful treatment of hypertension.
