Why is it that in women's restrooms there are enclosed stalls but in men's restrooms there are usually urinals? Why do women get to urinate in private and men have to do it with an audience?

I think it's because most men don't care and don't look at each others privates. They don't have to wipe either and that can be distracting.

I don't think that you can really compare the two. For men, you unzip and pee. Not much visible. For women, you have to completely bare your bottom half, and when you're done there's wiping involved. Not to mention, that during certain times of the month there are other activities which must take place - and privacy is very much appreciated for that. Besides - if men want privacy, they do have stalls they can use.

Men don't have to do it with an audience. They can use the stalls in the men's room if they are shy, and some do. For the most part, like many things in a man's life, it just doesn't seem worth caring about.

They do have doors to the stalls and dividers by the urinals. Of course, I haven't been in one since..err well nevermind..

Some do and some don't I do not really know why this is. I think the idea are men are kind of gross anyway so they may have thought why not save money and do away with the interior walls. I have seen very few without the walls.

Because women show more of their body, and need to wipe, but I think toilet makers think men have no inhibitions or something. If I was a man I would be insulted and disgusted that they think so little of men that they don't mind doing it in the open room in a line with my private anatomy exposed to the world and sundry. If I had to piss in an open row of toilets with no cublicles there'd be murder. And if I accidentaly saw some smelly old/ugly fellas todger I'd puke across the room on him!

Because women do three things sitting down while men only do two at most.

Because women have more to do than men, especailly during ... THOSE times of month. They also have to strip their whole bottom (men use the stalls when they do, too). If men want/need privacy, they can use the stalls. The urinals are more... convenient... and designed for that purpose. And MUCH better THERE than in the sink! ;-)

Because men can piss anywhere, and when there are stalls, we just piss on the walls anyway. Urinals are much neater.

To avoid changing tampons in public? (suggested by my girlfriend, incidentally). Also, how the hell would woman squat on a urinal? They have to sit down, so if they didn't have cubicles they'd end up staring at each other's muffs.

Why? Ask the architect! that maybe it's his idea? Some to impress the world of his great invention? Men do get credits for such inovations- pee without having to build doors?

SWORD FIGHTS!!! Women can't have sword fights in the bathroom like men. Can't have privacy when you sword fight ...

Because women do more in there,uncover more and are more private.Some men will go anywhere.But some would like more privacy also.
