As far as I know, Vanilla Chips are vanilla flavoured chocolate chips. I'm sure that you could substitute them with white chocolate chips, or even add a half a teaspoon of vanilla extract to your recipe so you don't miss out on that vanilla taste.

they are a white chocolatey, vanilla flavoured version of choc chips. There is not much that will give you the same sort of flavour, but you can vary the flavour to cherry vanilla chips or something similar. OR, if you wanted to be really inventive, you could buy ordinary white or dairy chocolate, melt it in a double pan and mix in the flavour you desire (eg alcoholic-almond extract, rum, amaretto, Grand Marnier, framboise, or any of dozens of other extracts, essences, brandies, or liqueurs or non alcoholic versions of these available in supermarkets). then you would cool the mix and form it into small flattened balls to use in biscuits/cookies.
