If a teacher was cought smoking weed on their own time. but never was high dureing school hours should the be fired?

If it was your teacher he or she should be fired for not teaching you to spell and use English correctly

absolutely. Not because I am against smoking pot, but because the School Board in every state mandates that teachers be drug free and they make the teachers sign an agreement to remain clean while being a teacher. If a teacher is smoking pot, even on their own time, they are breaking their contract. Just like pro-athletes that get caught smoking pot or doing drugs, they are breaking their contract.

In an ideal world, no. However, most schools will require a teacher to sign a contract, and usually part of this contract is pledging not to use drugs. If the teacher is violating their terms of employment, then they should be fired.

Yep! Smoking weed is illegal and teachers have to be above illegal activity. I'd feel the same if I found out they were pimping women or stealing cars. These people are suppose to be role models to their students.
