Should soccer have a video referee to review important decisions such as goals or penalties?

    It has been proposed before. They have even developed a "chip" to go inside the ball that tries to determine whether or not it fully crossed the goal line, for example. I also have read that some tests are still taken place.

    I would be against it in the sense that it will very much interrupt the flow of the game, I know many people consider soccer boring or even slow, but at least it doesn't have that much idle time as American Football (which has succesfully implemented instant replay reviews) or Baseball (which hasn't).

    They have only recently had the verbal communication between Linesmen and Referee.
    It would make things fairer but I would hate for it to slow down the game in the way other sports that use video.

    I think all sports need virtual refs as well as the ones on the field. Regular refs dont catch 100% of everything, and thats why they are there, right? +4
