Yes, actually this happened to me once. I had my suspicions, but yet he kept acting interested and we had a real emotional connection. However, once he realized I was interested romantically, he just came right out and told me he was gay, so sorry, but he wouldn't be dating me in "that' way. I was sorry to hear it, but yet kind of already had suspected it, so we remained very good friends, although he passed away a few years later. I miss him. His name was Steve: a very cute, funny, smart guy.
