Why is it that no matter how many albums Pearl Jam puts out, the radio only plays songs from their first two albums?

Because with the exception of the first two albums, everything that came after sucked! Grunge is dead, long live the Metal!!!

Not that I have any vested interest, but the radio will always play "the new song from Pearl Jam" perhaps a few times, but then settle right back into only playing their older stuff.

I don't know,and it frustrates me! While their first two albums were awesome,the last six have been just as awesome. I like Spin the Black Circle from the Vitalogy album,Off He Goes from the No Code album,Do the Evolution from the Yield album,Greivance from the Binaural album,Save You,Love Boat Captain,and I Am Mine from the Riot Act album,and Life Wasted,World Wide Suicide,and Gone from the self-titled album. I think what hurt them was that Eddie Vedder boycotted music videos all those years,but not too much. None of Pearl Jam's albums have ever peaked below the top 5 in the Billboard 200. Here's a video.
