ANS: God WAS one of us ... in the form of Jesus. The scriptures call Him, "Immanuel", meaning "God with us"LOL! Further, Yes; he did attend church ... in His day, he went to the synagogue to worship His Father in Heaven along with other worshipers. So He didn't go to "talk to himself": No. But He did pray to His Father in Heaven: Yes, as the 2 are separate and distinct individuals - a truth that has been restored more recently.
