  • visa, not many places in uk take amex (some do)
  • when i travel domesticaly, AMEX Internationally, VISA
  • i love my AMEX...i have blue for students and its great...it boosted up my credit score and plus their rates are so low... i had visa once now i also have mastercard...i like them, what the heck, i love any card with money in it so that i can shop....yeah baby.
  • Neither. credit cards will bankrupt you. the interest rates are a legal robbery. I pay only with cash. Its the only way to go.
  • I only have a (platinum) MasterCard at this point, but am thinking about getting a Visa and possibly an American Express. I like AmEx because the platinum card offers great benefits, but they're accepted at limited places and I've been reading about cases of Financial Reviews where you're asked to verify income, assets, and provide tax returns. I view these as being mostly private information, so I'm a bit hesitant to go with AmEx, along with most of their cards charging an annual fee. I'd ideally go with an AmEx charge card because I pay in full (and on time) every month. The only place I can think of that takes Visa but not MC is Family Dollar and I've only been in there a very few times. There's also a dollar store that only takes Discover. Go figure. (My guess is that the banks around here only offer Visa-branded debit cards and that tends to be the main customer base.)
  • I like Visa better but American Express is also excellent. Check out www.123applyforcredit.net You can apply for both and many others online.
  • Visa is better.
  • AMEX is good in the States Everywhere else Visa is better.
