What is the best way of grouting tiles?

pay someone else to do it. Did it once. Its a pain.

Dump the grout onto the floor, then spread it around thoroughly with a rubber trowel. Once it hazes over, wipe gently with a damp rag. Then if you like, use some sort of tool to make the grooves nice looking.

Wipe grout at an angle across the tile gap with a rubber trowel, use the corner of the rubber trowel to smoothen grout line. Wipe over with damp cloth.

seriously keith, I have the answer to that, get an expert in the trade, its just not kosher unless it looks great ! :)
