No. Your special someone must be sought out and nurtured. When dating, you might notice common likes/dislikes and a feeling of personal charisma of sorts. You build on that. If, after a reasonable "trial period" you still feel a certain closeness or kinship in many areas and it deepens, it's quite easy to make the assumption that you've met your one and only soulmate. Contrarywise, if you've dated and found nothing but disappointment, a person could just as easily make the assumption that the right person or soul mate just hasn't appeared yet.
