  • No, but I've never been on trial. I can say that I've dealt with people (lawyers, no less) who chose to represent themselves, and I can say that it's rarely a good idea. Litigation is often a stressful, emotional experience. It's best to have your legal interests represented by someone for whom the matter isn't personal - they'll be far more objective and rational, and will give you a better shot at winning.
