I dont believe so, as long as you aren't doing sit ups regularly on a full stomach.

I believe yes and no.... I read in Mens Health magazine that those suffering bloating/gas/lactose intollerence can improve with sit-ups because the stomach is tighter and therefore less gas can build up and bother the intestines. I had these problems and found that at first, I was straining my gut and bowel was a little worst, but after the initial stage, my stomach strenthened up and reduced my problems dramatically.
