Why are "movies" and "music" listed under "Entertainment" but "Books and Writing" is listed under "Arts"?

When someone writes a book or something else it is considered their form of art.

Because many people, unfortunately, do not think of books as entertainment. Kind of goes to show you the sorry state of modern culture. In my own personal opinion, all three of those should be listed under "Entertainment" and "Art". Because they're both art, and they're both entertainment. In the format of a question, which to classify them as would depend mostly on the context of the question.

I agree with RFlagg. Really the whole category should be reorganised; Arts should be a subset of Entertainment, and books, music and movies should all come under it.

If you dig into the categories, Books and Writing ARE sub categories in Entertainment.
