Hasn't the recession hit the big-spending European football clubs like Real Madrid, who splashed out huge amounts for the likes of C. Ronaldo and Kaka?

    Yeah but a lot of the most succesful and popular football teams in the world are funded by private endorsment.

    So though the individual or group in control may be suffering slightly, the club itself may still spend!
