We spend just enough. I clip coupons, grow vegetables in a garden and hunt our own meat.

We spend too much, but not by choice. Groceries are expensive!!! I've stopped buying prepackaged processed foods. I make them myself, and it still costs a fortune despite waiting for sales, buying generics, and/or using coupons. Eating out consists of pizza and a weekend lunch at Burger King for the kids. Our last sit-down at a restaurant was breakfast at Bob Evans.

I don't spend much money on food because I have worked out a barter system. All of my meat and dairy products as well as all my vegetables come from farmers who use my land in trade. Coffee, bread, sugar, flour etc..I have to buy. I rarely eat out because I enjoy cooking.

I spend just enough when it comes to eating at home, but if we go out....always spend to much.

With my finances the way they are now ; I only allow $25 for home groceries per week ... However; I put back just enough so I can go out and eat at a bufffet ONCE a week as a treat ... +5

I pretty much stick to my grocery list when shopping and tend to eat at home 95% of the time. I find it very expensive to eat out these days, and only know of a couple of places to get good value for the money spent.
-
food is so costly, I think everyone spends to MUCH on it
-
More than I should, I'm a glutton for flavours. :D

For eating out we will have to go to the town where there are restaurants. So normally we eat what is cooked at home. Except for groceries which are purchased once a month most of the rest of the food items are available fresh in our farm itself. I must consider expenditure on food will be just about 10% of our monthly household spending.

-
Waaaaaay too much. But I don't mind since i LOVE food.
-
I will prefer to eat at home and it teste better then eating out.
-
I spend way too much eating out but I hate the idea of eating the same thing for a week straight.
-
Neither, I would say I spend the right amount in both cases.
-
I guess I spend about average. I tend to buy a little more of something that I use often if it is on sale (such as chicken)and just freeze it. If I make too much of something, I just take the leftovers for lunch the next day.
-
I spend reasonable amount on food stuffs to my limits!
-
Far too much. Can tell by how much gets thrown away plus the amount of leftovers turning fuzzy blue in the fridge. Lesso to learn over and over, never go to grocery market to shop when you are hungry!
