There are some legitimate businesses that will contract you on a aprt time basis to do phone work at home. Usually not sales, but reservations confirmation and order taking. You need a computer, phone line and headset. Alpine Access, LiveOps, Arise and West at Home are four such companies. You can apply on their websites. The only downside I've noticed is that they're very popular and you may not get a call back for a little while. Remember, ANY company that requires ANY money up front are not legitimate, no matter how professional they may seem. Good luck.

My best advice would be to get into a hobby that you already enjoy and make a profit buying and re-selling things on e-bay. For myself I enjoy comic books , I know their value and know what people will pay (by studying other auctions) and price guides. I buy low and raise the price to what I feel I can get for it and enjoy the profit.

process server. requires very little training and almost no startup cost (in CA). contact an attorney and ask if you can serve papers for them. charge 50 bucks per. i did this for awhile. it's pretty easy.
