For the last 20 minutes I've been watching what I think is a plane circling the park near my house. I'm a bit freaked out by it tbh! Do planes often do this? What could be it's purpose? I'm worried! :(

How high do you think it is? What kind of plane is it? is there a military base nearby? Planes at bases often do practice approaches. If it's low to the ground, that would be strange. if it's a regular prop plane as opposed to a C-130, that would be strange also.

well its probably a pilot doin touch and go's or practicing his wind drift turns, is it windy?

Student pilots spend boring hours doing turns around a point, wind drift corrections and basicly following the shape of fields until the instructor gets sick of it and realizes they won't get any better. Instrument students practice holding paterns... could be a bunch of reasons. Could also be a cop enforcing speed along a highway from an aircraft or looking for the armed felon who just escaped from the federal pen.
