Nothing. The word wii is supposed to transcend language and culture, representing all of the possible meanings of similar sounding words and encompassing everyone within its all inclusive meaning. Personally, I just liked the name Revolution.

The wii got its name through the way it's controlled. Wireless inter-interface the inter-interface meaning other hardware (i.e. The nunchuck) can connect to the main interface(the wiimote) And this is a literal name for computer connected in this way.

As it's already said, easy to pronounce all over the world. Also the two "I"s can represent two persons gathering at the Wii. (to have fun) And in Japanese "ii" means "good".
