Why is freedom so very expensive?

Because everyone wants it, and so few really have it!

If it were cheap, you wouldn't appreciate it.

Freedom is expensive because it is rare, desirable and generally bought with blood and tears.

Because there are relentless hordes of folks insisting that we don't need it, and are eager to take it away from us.

Freedom is "absolute", to achieve that state we may have to pay the price which is expensive.

You have to educate the people you are going to govern because they will be the voters. That costs money, but without it you cannot achieve freedom. That is one reason.

"Freedom Is Not Free" is the title of a book written by an acquaintance, in his 80's, who served our country in WWII - - I wish you could read it! Freedom is so very expensive because it is gained, paid for, and maintained only through the personal sacrifice of those who fight for it - - often sacrificing their lives, limbs, health (both physiucal and mental) and blood for all of us. When you see a member of our military in uniform let him know you appreciate his dedication to our nation and security. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!
