  • I'm more or less a modern (very adaptable) type of person, so I'm always "rolling with the punches". Though I miss a 1985 BUICK "Park Avenue" I used to owned. It was a beauty! I met a lot of girls with that car(hehehe!)
  • Personally i like a bit of both, all the stuff you've mentioned except cars, i prefer a new car. And as a musician i like my old guitar but definitely think that some of the new technology that's available is second to none. +5
  • I'm a mix. I keep to the older stuff that I really like until something new comes along that I really like. LOL
  • I do not love the past movies ,beause it remind me of my most beautiful days i had in past ,and i like to forget it ,beause then i feel sad and all the times it's in my head.and same thing with songs .
  • A bit of both really. I've an old style phone that sits in a cradle and has the megaphone-like mouth peice. My dining room table is a big, bulky log affair that while not actually that old was made by someone that builds rustic furniture by hand. Most of the guns I own and most enjoy shooting for fun are WW2 or prior era Mosin Nagants, one 115 years old, yet I also enjoy something more modern like my Sig or AR. For cars I have something newer though I'd like something along the old school better. Movies its the same thing, so many of the older ones seem better done with better stories, these days it seems to be all remakes.
  • I love today's hot concept cars...the ones they rarely actually make for normal folks. I like my computer but I'm not into doodad/gadget/thingies at all. I like handmade furniture...the kind that a local woodcrafter named Sam Maloof made until his death awhile back. I have a chair that my grandfather hand-carved, the needlepoint for which my grandmother made. I love that chair best of all. I love old movies, especially the musicals. Anything with Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire and I'm a happy gal. So I guess some of me likes state-of-the-art but most of me likes quality, uniqueness and artistry that was more prevalent in the "olden" days! :)
  • I'm a pretty modern person, I think. I prefer modern music (usually post 2000), I use all sorts of electronics and stuff (couldn't live without laptop and iPod), and I prefer sleek modern cars. In terms of film, any film that is groundbreaking will be high on my list, regardless of age. In terms of furniture... probably a mix ^_^
  • I like cars from the past, women from the past (older women), and everything else on the bleeding edge of what's new.
  • I have a small collection of antique china and a few pieces of antique furniture.I have always appreciated items from the past and have a good eye for spotting them at car boot sales.
  • I like a mix of both. I love vintage dresses. I especially love clothing from the 40's and 50's. I love the attitudes of the 20's. Obviously I like modern clothing too. I like some music from the past. The beatles and the beach boys especially. Some old movies are also awesome, especially 80's movies and to be fair it's not for a sense of nostalgia, i wasn't even born then.
  • I love everything from the 60's and 70's...clothes... furniture...cars. It seemed like such a happy carefree era and things from that time seem to reflect that.
  • a bit of both really i like old quality stuff, any thing unusual
  • I like modern movies, old and new cars, nice furniture (old or new), so I guess I'm both but more inclined toward the new as far as things. As far as modern trends like hanging iron and ink all over your body, hanging your pants around your knees with your underwear sticking out or a thong band across your back, no thanks.
  • Both. I love 18'th and 19'th century traditional weaponry coupled with 20'th and 21'st century technology. I prefer an older house, preferably antebellum, full of antique furniture married with 20'th and 21'st technology. :-)
  • Some things in the past were superior to the present and some things are better now. This statement applies to products and technology as well as attitudes and values.
  • I like new things I have seen all the old stuff already!
  • I like a mix of things. Modern, energy efficient appliances and old antiques from a time when craftsmen took pride in their work and created things of quality and beauty.
  • Outside of movies, I suppose I prefer 'vintage' items. ;-)
  • Eclectic. Movies with plots that didn't rely on speciall effects. Good well made furniture regardless. I do like the fiction of today, since it's taken more seriously. And sex? Well it's a lot more fun now.
  • Though I was born in 61, I am kinda stuck in the 50's.
  • I have to move forward, but I also love the past. I think we should always change and grow. Being stagnant sucks too.
  • Most of my favorite things in life happened/were invented/were popular between the years of 1700 and 1959.
  • i want the convenience of now with the values of the past.
  • I go both ways...I better clarify that - I am only responding to your question.
  • movies and just people in general from the 1960's - 1980's. their just better people to be around.
  • I tend to be modern but sometimes things from the past have a special taste... sometimes you do miss them... like driving that old car or listening to that old track....
  • I'm more modern than anything.
  • I am a modern type of person but I still have a liking for music and songs from the past.
  • I like antique furniture and homes.
  • I LIKE CARS AND TRUCKS FROM THE 1950'S AND 60'S AND FURNITURE FROM 2005 +.
