  • I define tact as a four-letter word. I avoid using it whenever possible.

  • I can be tactful, its a matter of choice. Tact is when you are very careful about how you express yourself because you are concerned about the feelings and values of others.
  • Careful consideration of chosen action, and yes I have plenty.
  • Tact is the ability to have grace while under stress. I believe I am a tactful person, although I can be very (mentally emotionally) passionate as well.
  • Tact is when yoyu talior your words and actions so you won't afend other people. And no I have very little tact. I'm very straight forward and plain spoken. I'm also brutally honest so tacts lost on me.

  • Tact = Consideration and compassion combined and personified. I really make an effort to be tactful, I am employed to deal with the general public, so I guess I'd say I'm professionally tactful. I hope that practice carries over into my private life as well.
  • I am working on it. I was brought up to be polite, which is an element of tact. So, if a person gave me a present I did not like, I would simply thank them and smile. If they were wearing something outrageous, I might be able to say nothing, knowing that they liked what they were wearing. I have even been known to keep a straight face when a 70+ Lutheran pastor, in his suit and dog collar, asked to be able to do interpretive dancing to the song I was about to sing....you tell me, do I have tact? I finished the song...

  • It's the art of being sensitive to others, giving them the consideration as to not needlessly hurt or offend them. It's using your discernment of people to keep their feelings in mind when speaking. Am I? I try to be. I see no reason to just use every right I have to speak my mind ruthlessly without any thought to others. We all live on this planet together. It doesn't take anything away from me to phrase something so that it is not so blunt to hurt others.
  • I would be someone who lacks tact. It's not on purpose though, more clumsiness.
  • Yes when I use diplomacy.
