  • doubt it, how about if you change the locks on the doors, maybe he will get the message then
  • Just make it clear what is accepted for lunch and what is not, chicken breast in this house is a dinner item and it's expensive! Don't hint around! speak up! Unless you have a money tree in your back yard, and if you do, could you send me some seeds? lol.
  • Boys can eat lots of food. Rather than throwing a fit, just make it clear which foods in the house are available for him to eat as snacks, lunch, etc - and which foods are for the whole family. Perhaps set aside a section of a shelf in the fridge and cabinet that will hold foods he can "help himself" to, and the rest of the food is off limits unless he asks permission. Just explain that some of the food was purchased to feed the whole family. I don't know how old he is, but if he's old enough to cook and eat three chicken breasts, he's old enough to understand the situation. If he's old enough to work (or already does) encourage him to buy his own food for times that he isn't eating with the rest of the family.
  • I suppose you've forgotten how much you ate when you were a teenager. The problem isn't with him really because that's how teenage boys grow and it's basically all they really know how to do at that point in life. Your job, or your wifes job if you don't think he's your responsibility, is to make sure the kid is eating things he needs to eat.Example:Did you make sure he had a balanced meal with the chicken or did you just bitch at him for eating the food. My advice to you with a growing boy in the house is to make sure he knows what your planning to make for supper so he doesn't eat it. A teenagers appetite is just as active as his libido, If not more....
