Involved in every aspect of the economy and in every industry. Accountants get to learn about all aspects of a business in a way that individual directors and managers rarely do. They are invaluable when planning for business expansion or deciding which efforts are not paying for themselves. Accounting is always having to respond and grow to new realities of how business is done, while still providing timely information to management and the public. It's much more than just bookkeeping, it's gathering, organizing, and presenting empirical information that's necessary for a business to reach it's full potential.

The heart of any business!! Business managers must understand the accounting methods used to record the profit or loss and the financial condition, of the buinesses they manage. Investors depend on accounting reports (financial statements) to make decisions about where to put their money. Individuals can manage their savings and retirement plans better if they know basic acocunting concepts. However Accounting has an image problem. You may think they don't have personality or sit behind a counter quite boring. Accoutnants are actually pretty normal people. Accountants are great with Numbers and Detail.
