Is there a way to turn off requests from people asking you to be their Friend? Similar to how we can turn off the comments thread.

That's a compliment when people want to be your friend, why would you want to turn them off? You're lucky, no one has asked me to be their friend.

AB has not created that particular feature but you could state it in your profile...at the top of the page and in bold so people will see it because you do have to go into people's profiles to request friendship anyway.
