What is your opinion of brides now letting their bridesmaids choose their own dresses? My sister is considering this for her wedding.

Well usually bridesmaids are chosen based upon who knows the bride best. So if the bridemaids are choosing the dress, i think it's an awesome idea. But it all depends upon what floats her boat. As for me, IM CHOOSING MY DRESS! Unless they buy about 15 dresses, bring it to me and have me choose the one i like best.

I think it a good idea. It shows a greater undertsand for one another in that the bride is not forcing the bridesmaid to wear the dress that she wants simply because it will go with the decor or it will make the bride look better - rather the bride is letter the bridesmaid choose a dress that she feels comfortable in so they can both enjoy this special event together.

I think it's a good idea sicne the bridesmaids have to spend their money on it. Also, maybe they'll be able to choose a dress that is flattering on them!

I like the idea. Whenever I get married, I think that is what I do. Bridesmaids' body types are usually different, some big and some small, so it would be a good idea and considerate of the bride if the BM's picked their dresses to where they feel comfortable. Just make sure the bridesmaids' dresses stick with the same color so at least the colors match with the theme, if there is a color theme. Any more wedding planning tips, let me know, I have tons!
