  • About an hour when i was in Italy, it was jam packed and lots of people standing. Not pleasant.

  • From Gloucester to London on a coach that was old and smelt nasty, I threw up twice on the way there and three times on the way back. I think I was seven at the time.
  • I once took a bus from Albuquerque to Chicago, roughly 1200 miles. While I met several interesting people on the journey, it was frustrating to stop every 20 miles or so. However, I did see a lot of the state of Missouri and I'd never been there before.

  • Of course, the world' longest bus route: from Caracas to Buenos Aires (in January, 2005), and from Buenos Aires to Caracas (in June, 2005). In the first, i traveled by 13 days, sleeping 2 nights in Lima. The second, i traveled by 14 days, 2 nights in Lina and 1 night in Arica, Chile. 1 ticket travel: almost $ 600, plus the food, the hotels in the route, etc etc etc... That was the most important adventure of my life! 6 countries, many towns, many people... I want to make that travel again!
  • went to london once but thats not very far really lol
  • Yes...in a span of 2 weeks with a singing group...Ithaca, NY, to Cincinnati, OH, to Memphis, TN, to Oklahoma City, OK, to Arlington, TX, to Beaumont, TX, to Lake Charles, LA, to New Orleans, LA, and back to Ithaca...that last leg (we called it a "death ride") was about 1,400 miles in 28 hours...
  • Yes, I took a 14 day bus trip through western states back in 1987. I visited L. A., San Francisco, Yosemite National Park, Las Vegas, and the Grand Canyon.:)
  • Went down the west coast for a few days to get to Mexico. Took three days. I thought I was going to go insane from sitting for so long...
  • I traveled from central Virginia to D.C. by bus once for a school field trip. 2 hours. I guess what made it long was that I came home and proceeded to have a stomach flu. Knew I felt a little woozy and weird on the ride back...
  • We went on a trip to Washington DC too, on a field trip, from North Carolina!
  • from Vegas to Claremont CA- hungover

  • Quite a few times. I took a 40 + hour bus ride from Munich down to the South of France. The worst part was I had absolutelly no money, and I was totally hungover. The bus kept stopping to allow people to eat and all I could do was go to the bathroom and sip water from the tap. The bus ride honestly felt like it took weeks. I was so disoriented by the time I got home, dehydrated and totally famished. I think I slept for like 30 some hours then went and ate a huge meal.
  • I took a bus from Dallas, TX. to Indianapolis, IN. to save a little money once. I thought how bad could it be. It was much worse than I could have ever imagined. I had the window seat and was sitting by a girl that recently found out she was pregnant and was going through morning sickness. Anyway the guy across the aisle from her had really bad BO. The girl got sick a couple of times in the bathroom. So I gave her my seat by the window. Anyway the guy's BO across the aisle really made the trip horrible. Fortunately he got off in Oklahoma City. I should have hitch hiked instead.
  • 3 or 4 days, can't quite remember but it was horrible. Winnipeg to Vancouver Canada. One of the bus drivers was drunk. He even asked me to go to the bar on one of our breaks.
  • took one from AR to Knoxville Tn. i was so blessed to get a seat in front of a little kid who made it his sole purpose to make my whole trip a living nightmare. He kicked my chair the entire 10 hour trip, threw things in my hair, screamed in my ear, etc. and his parents just sit there. NEVER again will I take a bus. It's drive or fly.
  • I've been on a few that I remember... I remember riding from Indy or Lafayette when I was a kid, with my mother to my grandmother's in the Cleveland area. The others were shorter... at least 1 from Lafayette to Chicago with a Boy Scout group... and one from Lafayette to Hammond with our church's Folk Choir to sing the next day.
  • Yup, from South Carlina to Tennessee to see a football game that my team lost
  • Not since I was a kid. My mom used to send me to my godmother's house in Asbury Park, NJ (from Baltimore MD) for summer vacation via Greyhound. Seemed like it used to take all day; I remember the thrill of traveling such a distance alone. I was never bored...just me and my trusty transistor radio. I wouldn't DREAM of sending my kids ANYWHERE alone on a Greyhound bus today.
  • I took Greyhound from Seattle, WA to my home in Stockton, CA. Driving it only takes 14 hours, via car straight through. My dad drove it once via car, he spent the night at a hotel mid-way through... still only took him 24 hours. Greyhound was scheduled for a 26 hour trip due to the detours for drop-offs and pick-ups of travelers. Plus, transfer time from one bus to the next. We ended up being an hour late, still... before the bus broke down... and we finally arrived at 30 hours (all without a decent rest in between) I had a massive headache. I cant sleep while on the road, and I cant sleep sitting in a plastic chair, either. I will never ride Greyhound again. Try Amtrak, instead.
  • I took a bus from San Cristobel to Oaxaca Mexico. it was 11 hours overnight. They travel at night so the bus driver can see the headlights of the on coming cars better as the road is in the mountains and very narrow and curvy. The Mexican first class buses are very comfortable.
