That depends on where you live. If you live in Europe, go for the Spanish spoken in Spain. If you live in USA go for the Spanish spoken in South America - because that is what you will be exposed to in daily life. Good luck!

It depends on where you plan to travel. If you intend to travel in the Americas, I would go with South American Spanish but if You only intend to travel in Spain You should consider European Spanish. Either way, They are both Spanish and you will be understood either way.
