  • Any time you have a parent wanting to help their child, especially when the child is not living with them, it's a good thing. Just imagine yourself in that same position: would you want your child's parent to get new clothes if the ones the child had were getting worn? If this is a serious relationship, you could concievably find yourself in a similar position down the road. (we hope not, but there is always a chance) Your S/O sounds like a great, caring, responsible parent. Don't be angry about a parent supporting their child, it's what they are supposed to do.
  • No you shouldn't its his son.
  • Given your response with the other person, I understand your anger. However, you can't be mad at him, you have to be mad at the mother. He HAS to provide for his child, whether or not the child support is actually going to the kid. So if his kid is getting neglected, it's his job to make sure he has what he needs, even if the mother won't. Take her back to court for custody.
  • What the hell for?
  • I would be asking why he isn't filing for custody, but your question makes me wonder if having you as a stepmother may not be beneficial.
