  • That is technically not true. Ligt is made up of particles called photons, which have zero mass. This is the reason that the particles can travel at the speed of light without violating the laws of physics. If you want to get really technical, light can act as either a wave or a particle, depending on how it is observed. Photons have energy, but no mass. Pretty interesting actually.
  • Actually I think that it is part of the weight of the sun. Although as minuscule as I can imagine. Since all mass energy, and reverse. Then the release of energy means the reduction of mass.
  • Every second the sun in its core converts a million tons of matter into energy. That energy eventually escapes from the sun in the form of photons - what we call light.
