Cars are normally quite comfortable to sleep in, the back seat is normally bigger and nicest to stretch out on. Don't fart! Farts in confined spaces are never a good idea!

G'day Junk Yard Dog, Thank you for your question. The short answer is don't. If you must, make sure that you have plenty of blankets and that you can keep clean. The best thing would be to find out what your rights are to emergency and longterm accomodation and find it as soon as possible even if its in a shelter. I have attached sources for your reference. I met someone that lived right on the coast overlooking the ocean,in southern California. He lived in an import with a hatchback for at least a year.He would find places to park where the police did not patrol. People got used of him and they did not complain.He would use a sleeping bag in his car.
