When the Wi-Fi name appears to have a padlock you have to enter a password. I think that is what you mean by secured network. If the Wi-Fi server doesn't have a padlock it is a public server. You can connect to that. (Not recommended, people can take your information there)
Should I jailbreak my ipod touch 2g 8GB or not? Advantages and disadvantages of jailbreakin? If you jailbroken you're experiences?

well I know how to connect if it's unsecured, but I can't figure out how to do it in my own house. lol. I don't know what numbers are the password and everything u have to do.
