  • I am assuming you mean cars in which their drivers blast the bass on their stereo to create the reverberating booming sound? Yes. They always have - even when I was younger. I have no need for a public broadcast system. I don't understand the pleasure derived in sitting in a capsule rocked by sustained rhythm. It is not musical in any way. I liken it to a pissing contest or other way young men try to show up on another and make their presence be known. I have noticed that it is a trend that is going away though (thank goodness).
  • Always have, always will. I hate sitting my car and not being able to hear my music because some punk wants to be an ass. Add to that I don't like that kind of music and don't allow my kids to listen to it because of the messages. I like it when they get pulled over by the cops for it because after so many warnings they can confinscate your car and make you take the radio out before you get it back.
  • Yes, extremely. I live across the street from a public park with a basketball court, so every Saturday night there's a small fleet of immaure, testoterone addled idiots parked directly across from my house blasting their car stereos' bass as loud as possible without the sound stripping their paint jobs. I usually end up having to call the police on them at some point, which I hate to have to do, but there's not really any other recourse.
  • I have one now! I'd always wanted one...since I was a little kid. Finally I got my speakers, subwoofers and amplifier. I love to listen to my music loud! These other answers make me laugh - you hate me so much because I have a loud system in my car, but I'm not mad at you, I'm enjoying life and music as loud as possible!
  • Im buying 16" speakers for my trunk & a 8 speaker system for my interior. Then im highlighting it with neon lights & cruising through every suburb & olds home. LOLLL.. nah i wont be that asshole, but i love loud music. Its the best when ur trunks sounding like a airplane.
  • I wish I had a remote control that would automatically turn off or break the sounds systems of cars over a certain decible. you ahve no IDEA how much i hate 'boom cars. It just so disprecpectful of the people around you.
  • Yes, a lot. It is very inconsiderate to drive around making noise bothering other people.
  • I'd like to blow them all up!
  • They tickle me. I see them as throwbacks to the eighties when we were the ones making the cars go boom! :)
  • I find it very offensive and inconsiderate. They think others see them as cool, nothing could be further from the truth.
  • Yes !! It annoys me majorly !! It is extremely inconsiderate. It makes me want to have the world's loudest stereo and crank up some corny Laurence Welk polka music at 900 decibals or loud enogh to break windows at 20 miles, just to piss them off.
  • Thumpers? Yeah, they are annoying.
  • I just think "Hey, there goes another future customer" (I am an audiologist)
  • They use to, until a law was passed in Tennessee that carries a $50.00 fine for boom box vehicles. I was waiting for a red light to change. this pickup truck was behind me, his boom box drowning my police radio and causing my blue lights to shiver. This gentleman received a nice citation, with my name affixed for noise pollution. The total cost of the citation was approx. $150.00, including court costs.
  • boom bars rock
  • boom cars rock
  • Yes - maybe soon someone will invent a portable EMP device for consumers. Then I can carry one in my car, turn it off at a stoplight, and turn off everything within a small radius. Problem solved :oD
  • no. it is not my hearing that will be busted.
  • For every one who posted that they are bothered by Boom Cars, I recommend you take a look at this website. It has resources that you can use to get your local law enforcement involved in lowering the boom. http://www.noiseoff.org/
