are they fruit flies? They have traps that might work, but you need to find the source where they are all coming from in order to totally get rid of them. If you have the money to hire an exterminator, you could try that. Most of them use chemicals now that aren't harmful to humans or pets.

Do you have screens on your windows? If not, put screens up, good to prevent west nile virus also. If they are fruit flies, wash off the fruit that you bring into the house. Run your garbage disposal and run water into all the drains in your house.

I've heard about using red vinegar and something else to get rid of them. I don't know the complete recepie. Does anyone else?

Usually they arrive with banannas...or maybe your pets have left a hidden suprise somewhere and the bugs are harvesting there....get rid of the source and they will go away....bugs don't like clean very much....they clorine in clorox kills them ....or lemon liquid soap....I wipe my counters down with both taking turns.....I agree with an above answer...clap them dead if too many....
