To sort through the men to find out which ones are strongest. Its a survival instinct for most healthy women. Sometimes its done out of self consciousness too I've noticed.

Several reasons. I don't play games, so if I like someone I accept their liking for me. I will say if a woman has been treated badly in her past, she may play hard to get in fear that she will get hurt again. She may also play hard to get if she was taught to be that way. Down south, most women are taught to allow the man to make the first moves and show the interest. Then there are the women that are just so stuck on themselves and most of the time they are the ones not even worth the chase.

the only reason i would ever do that is to make sure the guy is actually interseted in me. if they just want sex they will give up and go to someone else and easier

well, when I do it, its because i want to make sure the guy is actually going after ME.. not my body.

Maybe they are not playing, maybe they are hard to get.

I feel some women like to keep a guy guessing and some women are cauious and play hard to get to see what the man is like. I am sure there are other reasons but those two are the ones I can think of right now.
