Is anyone fooled by offers of 6% on savings (up to £2500, Abbey and A&L) which are linked to moving into a current account which incurs a monthly fee consuming at least 80% of the interest paid?

    The 80% costs are before tax on interest!
    With current levels of taxation, Tax brings the charges at least to 100%. The IR man is one guy not fooled, he must be very happy with these a/c's!
