  • It does not seem that there is: http://www.wltx.com/news/story.aspx?storyid=47533 Cascade, MI (WZZM) - A Cascade, Michigan couple says they thought it was a little odd when the table they ordered on E-Bay arrived with spare parts. And that was before they realized the extra packages were human body parts. "It's a mistake, for sure," says recipient Frank Larmande. All the Larmande's were expecting was a box of boards and bolts to assemble into a table. But the box of table pieces arrived with two seperate, unordered packages sealed in bubble wrap. There were two sickening surprises inside. "It was very like a liver," remembers Frank. "He was unwrapping the thing, which was just in bubble paper, and he's like, 'This is a liver'," says Ludivine Larmande. "I said,'What?'. 'Yea, a liver that's been embalmed.'" There was another human specimen in the second bubble wrapped package. "I looked and turned the thing over and could see an ear through the plastic paper," says Ludivine. "At this point I droppped everything. It was too weird." The couple called police, who determined the body parts were headed from China to a research laboratory in Traverse City. They are among at least 2 dozen other individually wrapped specimens still missing from the shipment. "I'm happy I did not open it in the afternoon when my husband was at work," says Ludivine. "If I had done that I would have been very scared, I think." The box of table pieces and bubble wrapped body parts were delivered by the DHL service. A company spokesman says they are co-operating with authorities to investigate the shipment and determine if the sender violated company policy. If anyone else recieves an unexpected bubble wrapped pakckage from DHL they are asked to contact the police.
