How do I know if I have ED or similar problems from side effects from being on Abilify?

I have been on Abilify for bi-polar disorder for several years now, but over these years it has become less and less possible for me to get sexually excited and even achieve an erection. So, I quit taking Abilify. I don't care what my psychiatrist says. I am getting aggravated. I don't even get excited looking at porn or cybering anymore. I get nothing but a limp hook. My big question is, if this is because of the Abilify, is it permanent? Abilify is known to cause ED.
