I feel like I am dying sometimes. Im so sleepy I cant think straight but cant fall asleep either. I walk around in a daze.

Yes. There is a disease in which people lose the ability to sleep, and they die a miserable death. But not from common-or-garden insomnia - the body will eventually demand sleep.

You can certainly hallucinate and become delusional with sleep depravation for long periods at a time. See a Dr. about this.

'It is often claimed that prolonged lack of sleep has serious consequences, such as psychosis or death through circulatory collapse.' http://www.neuro.uu.se/fysiologi/gu/nbb/lectures/Sleep.html That is the result of torture though, rather than insomnia. Eventually most sufferers (such as myself) will pass out through lack of sleep

Probalbly not directly, but the damage that is done to other body parts, has to take it toll, eventually. (not an expert, just my thoughts)

Yes you can Die, reason why its not sudden death from lack of sleep, its more of that you are aging and becoming older because you are not sleeping and arnt releasing hormones, primarily, "Human Grwoth Hormone" . Achieving Deep sleep stage of sleep can release this hormone which is an anti aging hormone, aka "Youth hormone". consequences of sleep deprivation will take effect later.
