    As hard as it would be, no I would not. Because if the bank finds out it was a mistake I would have to pay it back and with my luck they would file charges against me and then charge me interest on top.

    Actually I knew of someone who had a few thousand placed in her account by mistake..she spent it and there was nothing the bank could do..although that may of been a one off I don't know..

    Unlike the Monopoly game where "bank error in your favor" means take it and spend it, in the real world you get all kinds of grief for it, and maybe even get charged with income tax evasion, so no, I wouldn't spend it.
