I know I may sound like one of "those" people, but we are in the middle of the next war. It is the war on terror. Good society has a villan and it is, loosely defined, terrorism. If you want to call it Islamofacism you can, just know it is here and it is now.

The only way to prevent war is for people to stop feeling the need to separate into 'them' and 'us' and attempting to feel better about 'us' by inventing reasons to hate 'them'. If every-one felt good about themselves, irrespective of others' opinions, they would have no need to improve their self-image by attempting to lower others'.. status, wealth, prestige, whatever. The only true competition can be against one-self, especially when one has a clear desire defined by one-self (as opposed to 'popular culture' - another 'them' and 'us' situation) for what one wishes to achieve... Really, wars are just a bunch of insecure little toddlers with big guns and big ideas(dressed up as philosophies), over-inflated hollow lacking egos, screaming 'mine's better than yours!' No bloody wonder the galaxy appears unpopulated! i'd say the puppets at the helm need a few more hours time-out before they can come and interact with civilized minds.....

well basic on the fact that there is a historical cycle to everything that has ever ocurred i am going to have to say yes there will be one. Which brings me to the next idea. i am going to have to agree that we are in the next WW now but it is based on terrorist and not communist.I believe that once we as America stop going into countries that we dont belong in is when that will stop us being in the wars. but we can never control another country going to war.

We are in the next war, of that I'm certain. As far as prevnting its escalation, I don't think that current world policy is even set up to facilitate a prevention of this escalation. and when it gets out of hand, It will probably go nuclear. World war should be fairly easy to prevent after that. lol Its real hard to fight the whole world with sticks and stones.

i will agree with the idea that in order to prevent wars we will have to change the way we view ourselves as well as others. we cannot seperate or alienate a whole group of people into one clean neat category, thats dangerous and thats how the military justify killing people, they aren't even people anymore but collatoral damage. us/them dichotomy is extremely prevalent in 'bush' speak and is an easy way to convince people without really saying anything. people need to think critically of their governments and make their voices heard instead of apathetically going about as if nothing were happening.

the bible states that there will be a world war, whether it is the next one is to be seen. however, the world war that the bible predicts is and will be the world war that will put an end to all wars. in revelation 16:14,16 we read: "they are in fact, expressions inspired by demons and perform signs, and they go forth to the kings of the entire inhabited earth, to gather them together to the war of the great day of God the Almighty..and they gathered them together to the place that is called in hebrew har-mageddon. most do not realize what really is going on. for one thing they wish to not believe in the existence of satan the devil and his demons. to their advantage then, they can continue scheming against mankind to lead them to war against the Almighty himself. thus there is nothing we can do to stop this from occurring. it is out of human hands to avoid this collision with Jehovah God and his Son. however, the good news is that as terrible as that day will be there will be survivors. just as in the days of noah, a few survived, now also there will be survivors. revelation 7:9 says that a great crowd from all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues will come out of this war unscathed. they will survive to form the nucleus of a new world promised in the bible thousands of years ago. that time is almost here. there is no time to waste. we are all faced with a decision. it doesn't matter who we are, everyone will have to decide on what side they are on. we cannot think that we will remain neutral. we are either on the side of those that filled the requirements to survive, or on the side that chose to ignore the messagge being proclaimed world-wide. for more information on this subject please visit www.watchtower.org

Yes we are in the beginning of that very thing as we speak. An attack from Aliens would Wake us up, As we'd have to come together to defeat them and thus forget about our insignificant reasons for going to war.

I like what Searseeka saids. There are no other ways.We must wake up to illuminate our selfs for the benefit of our individual existence.Every people in the earth is unique.Just seat down and think that your life belongs to you, not to Bush ,Blair , Putin , Saddam or whatever evil he/she is. Don't go army = don't go war.Just be a patriot for the god reasons. Don't let the others use your blind patriotisms bring you to death = war.

Good news: One part of Europe will no longer fight against another part of Europe. One part of America will never again fight against another part of America. (except for a possible race war, eventually) And America will not fight against Europe. Bad news: Future wars will be between larger and larger blocs. Eventually, East vs. West.

Only time will tell!

You can't if the Illuminati and Alfred Pike have their way about it...They planned for Three World Wars. So far they have accomplished two of them. Bush referred to Iraq several times as the third world war. If you do not know of the Illuminati or Alfred Pike it might make for some interesting research for you to do.
