If the only thing you're sharing is a monitor then you need a video switch. A KVM would allow you to also share the keyboard and mouse. You can get them from the big online sellers like TigerDirect, NewEgg, etc, or at just about any computer and/or electronics store.

Yes, you can have a kvm switch. Also many monitors have dual inputs.
