Hello Keithold, Thank you for the intelligent question. I do not have children but if I did, I would give them something to warm their tummy during these cold days like some Irish Oatmeal and if they were really good, I would throw a handful of chocolate chips on top.

I would say fibrous food - corn flakes for example. With fruits also if possible. Plz avoid junk food like honey buns, donuts etc .

I like to give mine a hearty breakfast with the works. Bacon, eggs, grits, biscuits, O.J., toast or pancakes that sort of thing.

Fresh fruit, boiled eggs, wholemeal bread (toast soldiers to dip in the boiled eggs), fruit juice, cheese (for healthy bones and teeth), muesli if they are old enough to it eat safely. Try to avoid sugary cereals like Froot Loops, and baked pastry goods, such as Pop Tarts, etc. These are good for an occasional treat, but not every day.
