  • yes, but I don't pay as much attention to it as I used to. It still ticks me off once in a while when I know there is no valid reason for a - rating whether it is on my answer or someone else's.

  • I just received a down rating for trying to be humorous. My first one. I suppose I should think before I answer a question. Not everyone in this world has a sense of humor.
  • Yes, and I hate the "long-winded humorless know-it-alls", too. They think whatever they say is "golden"...
  • Not really... I think there are just as many of them (or should I say 'us'?) as there have always been; you may just be noticing them more because there are a lot of new users whose approach to AB is very different to that of the "old-school" baggers, and some of these old-school baggers consider this new 'conversational' approach to AB to be nonsense or unhelpful and are flagging and downrating more than before.
  • Yes. I have got several -5's a few -4's and a couple of -3's. There is not much to say.
  • Yes. And it often involves humor not being understood. And the Answerers who do the downgrading often can downgrade with very high points. they are oldtimers who want things to be like they used to be, maybe.
