Does anyone think Windows 7 is a rip off of Linux? And does anyone think that is going to cause problems for Linux users?

I doubt it will be. It looks like more of an upgrade from Vista, and they'll certainly not be using the Linux kernel. So don't sweat it ^_^

Ripoff from Linux? Are you kiddin me? W7 looks more like latest Mac OS X, nothing compared to Linux. But *raw* Vista is quite similar to Linux - admin access problems, super bloatness, high resource usage, crashes and extreeme unstability...

Looks to me like Win7 is what Vista was supposed to be. Mac OS X is *far* more Linux-like. Hell, it's based on the BSD kernel, which means that it's a *NIX OS just like Linux! I don't see it as a problem. In fact, after Vista, I think that it will either make no difference or make people migrate TO Linux.
