Since minimum wages have been increased, shouldn't everyone get a raise of the same percentage?

no. If everyone got a wage increase... then companies would somehow have to find a way to pay for it. They would do so by raising prices/fees for their goods and services... so your "raise" would be eaten up anyway in higher costs for everything... and the almighty dollar would be worth even less.

Or at least a raise of some sort. I effectivly got a drop in wages at the beginning of this month because half of my staff got a raise.

further expense for companies will be an issue. some companies are making just over a the profit line and so it would totally hurt them. withh economy there is a knock in effect
