It's nice anytime; the weather doesn't vary much during the year. The "tourist" or "busy" season is usually between May and September, as the northern hemisphere has summer then, and summer is the most popular time for vacations. You can usually get great airfare and hotel discounts if you can travel December through March.

There is no bad time to visit Hawaii. It can get a little too hot during the summer months (and quite crowded). Surf tends to be larger and comes more from the North and West in the winter, while there's more South and East swell in the summer. I've found late Spring and early Fall to have the best combination of weather (not too hot, not too rainy), surf and not-excessive crowds. . . .Picture taken in early-July, 2005 . .

Okay all you Hawaiian want to be's, I live here in Hawaii and can tell you that June through September is the best time weather wise. We can get many tropical storms that can lasts weeks and very heavy wind. I bet many of you never knew that it snows here too? From November until March, it snows on top the peaks of Mauna Kea and the local boys surf with ski boards down the slopes. However, we were lucky enough so far this past year not to have any hurricanes.
