Has any of you Moterhome owners ever installed a transmission temperture gage? Do you actually have to drill a hole in the transmission pan or is there an other place to locate the sensor? Any recommendations?

It needs to go in the pan and requires you to remove the pan and drill a hole and install the sending unit.

B&M makes a kit which includes a T-shaped holder for the oil temperature sender that can be installed by interruping the oil return line to the transmission. Kit includes a T-shape sender holder, gauge and wiring/terminals as well as installation instructions. Go to WWW.bmracing.com and look for part number 80212/80226. You may be able to buy the kit on line (about $46.00) I recently bought and installed this unit. I had to go to a specialty store here in Georgia called "Summit Racing Equipment. You can also go to a auto parts store and ask them to order it for you. It is the best protection you can buy to protect your transmission from overheating. I realized this AFTER I blew my transmission. Good luck
