  • no there are far too many sexual predators on the internet.
  • No way no how, Not unless its use was password protected and it could only be used when i was there to supervise
  • I don't think I would specifically buy one for them to use. This is simply for their own protection. I may consider one for the family computer in a public room that they could only use with my permisiion. It can be fun to see who you are talking to and let them see you, especially if you have family or friends who live a distance away. I would however make them aware of the dangers of paedophiles and make sure they only used it with people they knew well and who they could see also. I beleive that if you ban everything then kids feel untrusted and are more likely to get taken advantage of by going behind your back anyway!
  • Oh hell no.
  • No. I wouldn't even buy myself one.
  • Good effing GOD no. There really isn't any reason to have one. I wouldn't risk my kids getting sucked in by a predator and end up all over the goddamn internet and whatnot. It's a terrible idea. Seriously. People can chat and talk and the phone and myspace...they don't need webcams for reasons other than getting nasty.
  • no but I'm sure if I had one they would be useing it so I just don't get one I don't see the reason for them unless a family is apart.
  • f@#@ no
  • Webcams do have a non-illegal purpose! I would buy one if they had a good use for it... for instance if my cousin and I were both going to buy them so we could talk to eachother (she lives in Boston), or if my kid's best friend moved away and they had one. I would make it so that I would be monitering him/her when he/she was using it. Although webcams can have a good purpose doesn't mean the child's going to use it for that. So a short answer: Yes with good reason and moderation.
